go round in circles

- If you do something for a long time without achieving any results and you always come back to the same problem, then you can describe the situation as 'going round in circles'.

The politicians talked for hours but they couldn't come to an agreement; they were just going round in circles.
I've been going round in circles trying to find the right person to talk to about getting a refund on my ticket but with no success. I give up!
Because we didn't have the data from the survey, we went round in circles discussing the same old problems.

shedload

- a lot

- a shedload of something is a very large amount or number of something

- we can also use the 'shedload' or 'shedloads' without 'of' if it's clear what we're talking about.

Jim gets paid shedloads of money, so don't worry, I'm sure he can afford it.

We don't need to go out for dinner tonight; we've got a shedload of food in the fridge!

He spent shedloads on his new car.

I can't go anywhere. I've got shedloads to do today.
