To catch your eye / eye-catching

- very attractive or noticeable:

- It's a gesture that can be romantic - to catch someone's eye across a crowded room

- a way of saying it attracted my attention and it made me want to take a closer look

Jeff was about to give up and leave when he caught Sophie's eye at the bar.

David was impatient to leave the restaurant and raised his hand to catch the waiter's eye.

 

Freak

- the word 'freak' with a noun to say that someone is obsessed by something which you think is strange.

- 'To freak someone out' is a phrasal verb which means to make someone feel strong emotions, like panic or fear. 

 

So when you call me a 'fitness freak', you're saying I'm obsessed by sport and fitness?

Going to the gym freaks me out; it makes me panic.

 

 

obsess

- If something or someone obsesses you, or if you obsess about something or someone, you think about it, him, or her all the time:

 

She used to obsess about her weight.
